November wrapped up

November was a very busy month, but before I post any December pictures I have to finish out November, so here goes! WARNING THERE WILL BE LOTS OF PICTURES!
We'll start with APPLES! We went to a farm, to get cider apples, we got 15 bushels in all, and split it between three families. This was 5 bushels
Then we borrowed an apple press from some friends, and we made homemade cider! Thanks to the Willis's they were the pro's who taught us how! This was the press.

After using the press we went inside, to strain, boil, and can the cider.

We made about 30 quarts for each family, it is the best cider I've ever tasted!

It was a little chilly in the garage where we were pressing the apples in, and so we tried out little man's new hat!
Just a few days after we made the cider Grandma came into town!!

Elliott was very excited that grandma played the i'm going to get you game, and the next picture is him getting her back, and in the process slobbering all over her!

The day after mom got into town, we had a Thanksgiving party with our little play group, we had 10 kids, and all the moms!

These are just a few pictures of that day, if you look close you'll see oreo turkeys, very fun thanksgiving cookie crafts!

We colored, ate, decorated cookies, and played in the leaves! It was crazy but so much fun!

Mark and I also ran our first 5 k together with mom pushing Elliott behind!
Elliott got bored and went to sleep

After the run!!
We ran another 5 k on Thanksgiving day with April and Dave, I'm such a slow poke they all had to slow their stride, but I ran the whole thing both times which was a huge personal record for me! SO that's all for tonight, tomorrow I'll do Thanksgiving at the Barnes house in North Carolina!

YAY! Look at you running a 5K...scratch that...TWO 5Ks!! Feels good, doesn't it. I'm like you -- it's always an accomplishment for me just to run without having to stop and walk. I never really have a time goal at all, just want to go a little faster than last time (even if just a second or two faster).
You're awesome. Let me know when you will be in Utah again and we can run one together.

Congrats Desi on running the 5k's! It doesn't matter how fast you are - just the you cross the finish line. I'd like to run one with you sometime. In fact, I think there is one this weekend. Are you running in it? Btw, are we still on for the bookclub at your house?

Wow, how awesome is all of that! And I owe you a big thanks- I had no idea what to get Scott for Christmas. I had a few obstacles, one being it had to be very very small. When I read about your ipod/nike thing, I thought that would be perfect! He's been using google earth to figure out how far he ran, he'll love it! Thank you, thank you!

I am so proud of you! I've only done one 5K in my whole life- the Rex E Lee run at BYU. Are you bringing any cider with your bread to UT? And you have to bring Elliott's hat too!

Is that snow in the background of some of those photos? Where were they taken.
