Warning, I'm not complaining, it's just. . . well ok scratch that. I am complaining! I love the summer! I love it so much that I jam pack it with things like traveling, plays, traveling,10k's,traveling, 1/2 marathons, husbands traveling, and more traveling. . . then I get home and have 7 loads of laundry to wash, dry, and fold. A back yard to some how tame. A garden, that I WANTED and thought would be so fun to plant, water, and weed. How I somehow forgot about my vow every Summer since I was 2. The one that went something like this "I WILL NEVER NEVER NEVER HAVE A GARDEN, I HATE GARDENS AND GARDENING, I HATE WEEDING AND I WILL NEVER MAKE MY CHILDREN WEED GARDENS WHEN I HAVE MY OWN HOUSE!" Pretty sure my mom remembers those words. I just started remembering them tonight as I sit in bed at 12:49am trying to catch up on my blog, with my throbbing muscles, and sunburned body keeping me awake. We have been so busy already the past couple months that any moment we have at home is one spent running to try and catch up. The front lawn needs to be mowed, the front gardens need to be weeded (again I ask you why oh why would I choose to place ANOTHER garden in my yard there are already 3 I can't keep up with!), sheets need to be changed, toilets I shouldn't even go there, dusting to be done, windows to be washed, floors to be swept, painting the kitchen and guest room, reading I need to catch up on, not to mention all the fun shows I'm probably missing out on. . . oh and don't forget the ward activities need to be planned, and visiting teaching to be done, and last but not least we're training for a 1/2 marathon in June. I really could go on and on. I do love Summer but I feel a little overwhelmed when I come home. Ok I'm done! Here are some things that make me smile through it all!
The cutest little boy ever!

Family tradition the orange and white game!!

Look at the guy sitting by us. Elliott was such a riot he was screaming, go, and touchdown. All the people around us loved him!
Our little boy is obsessed with football, he wouldn't take his eyes off the game for the picture!

Elliott's new found joy of mud and water!

Washing the cars as a family, just like when I was little!

A certain little boy learning to say cheese, and giving the sweetest little cheesy grins!

Dad, Paul, and Mark making themselves a treat at 11:30pm because their wives said no.

Machu Picchu
Another two cheesy smiles!

And of course EASTER, and Easter guests!!

April's birthday/Easter

Now that I've gotten a little sleep I feel much better. As you can see I have many reasons to smile!! I'm even looking forward to gardening!

The joy of being a mom, a wife, a daughter of God. Trying to find balance can be quite difficult at times. I know I had a melt down about a month ago trying to balance everything. Then I decided to just count my blessings each day (Bryan, Bryce, Brayden, Savanah, & Sierra), accomplish what I can accomplish & just not worry about the rest. They would be waiting but somethings were more important - enjoying life and the wonderful blessings the Lord has given me. Makes me a much happier and better person. Elliot has always been a cutie but he just keeps getting cuter. What a doll! We love your sweet family & miss ya'll! Come see us sometime! Love from Texas!
yeah, you travel way too much. Lets go to the park sometime. Natalie and I are planning some park trips soon.
