Two months past and still no new post. . . I'm sure that everyone is waiting for an amazing excuse, but really I can only say we've been BUSY!!!! Working, traveling, busy with callings, busy getting RELEASED from callings. . .and then getting more callings, busy playing out side, going to football games, learning to WALK, learning to fall, learning to RUN, learning to explain your little boy having all kinds of new bruises, learning how to do a new hair style, learning how to drive in Texas, learning how to leave your son at daycare with out crying, learning how to enjoy every last second of Summer, and we have. . . I can't believe it's over. Now I plan on explaining all of those fun Summer lessons! You all know that I fly for work, that that's explained. Traveling will take a bit more time. Lets see, we've been to Nashville, Kentucky(3) times, North Carolina, Utah(3) times, Las Vegas, Dallas, San Antonio, Canada to see Niagra Falls, and Kitchener, Ontario to see where Paul and Margaret moved from and see family, and Minnesota this Summer. We've been busy bees. That's not to mention all fun things we've done around Knoxville! So as you can see when we have been home we've been playing catch up and haven't had time to blog. I'm thinking for sanity's sake we'll be having a relaxing Fall at home! We want to enjoy the good weather (I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it will stop raining soon), the leaves changing, celebrate a new niece and nephew that will arrive shortly, and watch some college football. GO VOLS, and BYU!! We do have a fun Halloween planned with the Barnes family, and Mark and I are running in the relay for life 5k race at the end of October. Ok, now for a little more explaining. I said we'd been busy with callings, and we have been for two years we've been VERY busy with callings. Mark was released as executive secretary a couple of months ago and was called as the 1st councilor in the Young Men's presidency, he's also been called to be the Scout Master. So he's still busy just a different kind of busy. He's really enjoying his new callings! I was just released as the Relief Society president pause while I do another little jig. . . YEAHHH. I can say that now. It was a bitter sweet departure, I love the Relief Society organization and that women so much. . . but it was time! I was released for one week and then called to a stake calling I'm now the ward public affairs specialist. I think I'm going to really enjoy this new calling I look forward to learning more about it soon! As for our little man, he's grown in leaps and bounds this summer! He's getting to be a restless traveler, he does not like to be contained! He's gotten 9 more teeth for a total of 13. He's gone from crawling to walking to running. He's gotten two hair cuts one was rather awful(from his mother) , and one grandma did and looks super cute! He is infatuated with cars, dogs, and balls. If he likes you enough he'll tell you what a lion, dog, cat, duck, and car say. He loves to read. He signs please, more, and thank you, and all done. He says thank you when he signs it, and also says car, momma, dada, a version of Grandma and Grandpa that is adorable, and of course his first real word, which was ball. When it's time for prayer he folds his arms but only until we close our eyes, and his favorite part of prayer I think is saying AMEN! We love it! We've been so busy this Summer but we've enjoyed every second of it!! We were able to see everyone from my family, and meet many friends and family from Marks side! It's a crazy life, but I've heard you're supposed to be worn out, it means you're living.
Here's the new hair. I'll do a few more posts with just pictures of the Summer tomorrow!
